…..to amuse the bengals of the house. Package with LOTS of noisy brown paper became the best thing the other night.
Dexter and Cosmo would not come in the kitchen with all the noise…..and even Asia eventually moved off to the distance to watch Bayou be a nut all by himself.

Saw this story today and had to pass it on. Great results for the cat, but also curious to see what this brings for the future of prosthetics for pets and for people down the road. I do believe most animals do fine with a single amputation. But when you have a case of double amputation where movement becomes very limited or requires a cart apparatus, this would be a great alternative.
Here was the original news story. Apparently they figured out how to mimic the honeycombed effect of say a deer antler so that the bone and skin would graft to the titanium leg implants. Once grafted, they can attach any foot prosthetic they design. The cat has a ‘whats the big deal’ look all the time….gotta love animals.

I like the second set of feet far better. You can also tell he has mastered their use more in the second video. He looks very natural on them even. Would be curious to see what his jumping activity looks like after he used them more.
