So to follow up the ‘grown up’ set of photos of Asia a couple days ago, I thought something a bit more reflective of her personality was in order.
Whenever Asia plays with anything, she somehow always ends up with her bum in the air. I have learned this by the countless photos I try and edit where her bum is flying by as the prominent figure.
She starts attacking whatever it might be, her scratching post, the ball under the furniture, the invisible ghosts in the couch cushions…..whatever the target may be…..
Poke, poke……
Roll……
Bum Up!
Bite, bite….
Roll…..
and blurry bum in the air.
Maybe she really is a crocodile.
Oh Little Miss Asia, why do you have to grow up?
I am really learning to love photography. My husband was kind enough to get me a Canon rebel T1i for our anniversary back in July, and I thank him dearly for that!
As soon as I started using the camera, I began to completely understand photographers ramblings about the ‘perfect light’.
I have also found that our house rarely HAS the perfect light. The sun comes in through the east windows in the morning, but in beams rather then full coverage. So when the cats opt to play in the sunbeams, I struggle to get the right settings to account for the many variables.
Here was a series of shots where I needed fast shutter speed because Bayou and Asia were dashing and wrestling. But at the same time, I had dark and light areas in the shots, so I was either under or overexposing something every time. No matter what I did, I could not get things right. I am still a newb in the photography world, what can I say.
So here they are in all their blur and dark and bright glory.
These two I did not edit….I thought they had a bit of dramatic ‘flair’ in their original format.
The rest I did a touch of photoshop work on the brightness and shadows.
