Asia has found her calling in life.
Bug Exterminator
She is fairly serious about her job, I know I mentioned it before….but her abilities have definitely ratcheted up a notch. She wanders from window to window around the house, checking for critters on the inside or outside …….constantly.
Now, don’t get me wrong…all the cats in the house like to chase bugs….but NO ONE patrols the house all day to do so. They are more passive exterminators.
She has also conveniently put a couple larger holes in the window screens….so the ‘inside’ bugs are more frequent then usual. And here I thought she was just climbing…..
We have bird dogs, and their ‘intensity’ can be very high when they have a job to do. Asia seems to run at a similar level. She does check in and give me reports of her progress now and again, but otherwise, when she is on the job, she is not to be bothered.
There have been a couple bug flavors she has not enjoyed…..but Dexter is fine with them, so he just watches her, and when she knocks something down that she will not eat he is quick to move in for clean up. Dexter’s job has always been food clean up master.
Seriously, I did not know we had so many critters in the house. Ummm….thanks Asia for pointing that out taking care of that!!

Asia, you are quite the skilled bug-catcher! Very impressive. What we think is hilarious, though, is that Dexter eats her rejects!
Dexter cleans everyone’s plates, spotless…it really is his ‘job’. Whats even funnier is that he ‘waits’ for her to be done playing with it. He might observe closely, but he never eats it until she fully walks away. Little mini cat runs the show here, that is for sure.
Now that is a job to be proud of. Go, Asia!

CC is the master hunter around here. Although he leave the occasional leg and carapace for me! I’ll bet Asia is happy having found her calling. The bigger screen holes are job security.
