I am pretty sure Mia aspires to be a full fledged fluffy fat cat.
She had a bottomless stomach when she first arrived, quickly consuming her food and Bayou’s at each meal leaving me sneaking him tidbits whenever she was not paying attention. Eventually I had to start feeding Mr Big B separately because he was no longer resembling his moniker (and Mia was starting to resemble a pot belly pig).
This means essentially Mia was on a diet already at 9 months old……that is if you call a diet getting a LARGE kitten portion only instead of TWO big servings at each meal.
Me, I call this normal feedings.
Mia calls this “INCREDIBLE TORTURE OH MY CAT”!!
Since Dexter is a foodie as well, the two bicker over who has the loudest meow and closest position during meal prep….Dexter is none to happy to have given up the first food watcher slot.

It doesn’t look like she’s straining the seams on her fur suit too badly…and you gotta love a lil’ tummy pooch.

Fluffy cat or flabby cat? Hmmm. Not sure I can call my cats fluffy… Kiefer is 14.4 pounds, but he should be 10 pounds per his body size. Gus weighs more, but won’t cooperate on the weighing routine. He refuses to sit on the scale long enough to get a reading nor sit still long enough in my arms to do the dual weigh in.
Oh Mia! You don’t need a diet! We think you look great!!
She isn’t REALLY fluffy yet, we just liked to tease her because she does have a bit of a tummy on her already and she likes to sit like a big kitty all the time.
Wait til you see some photos I think I will put up on Wednesday….even if she doesn’t have a tummy they make her look like she does
