It was another long weekend. Needless to say, we are down another furkid (not unexpected, but still sucks), I am just emotionally drained after the last few months. The dog we sent over the rainbow bridge has had some scuffles with my cats (and almost killed Cosmo years ago) so I wasn’t as close to him, but it still hurts all the same especially to see my husband in pain. I know it wasn’t his fault he wanted to eat the cats, but logistically we spent the last 10+ years balancing the safety of everyone so it was definitely a bumpy time. I am contemplating fostering kittens again this spring to try and bring some new life to the house, still weighing the risks. Bayou is getting older and when under stress he can come down with respiratory junk. Dexter is also older and his runny eyes flare when stressed too. So while Bayou LURVS kittens like no one else, not sure if it is best for them. SO, I will give it some more thought. Even if I don’t foster, I have extended some help out to a cat rescue to at least help them with some administrative stuff, maybe posting, photos and fundraising help.
I need to rush out the door, actual work stuff keeps getting in the way of my posts (stoopid work). So to hold you over here is a type of pic that always makes me smile. When all three felines are hanging out together I am always happy. Dexter bickers with Bayou when they are near each other, doesn’t want Mia touching him, so its nice when they can all chill out together in some way.
Sunbeams bring everyone closer eh?

It’s always sad to lose a family member, even with the kind of problems you mention.
We’ll take your word on the sunbeams. Haven’t seen any in a while down here…
